Hey, Reader, Have you ever been scrolling along on social media, seen a graphic, and thought... “Wow, that’s amazing! How did they make that?” Or... “I love this design! I wish I knew how to do that.” Or maybe... “This is exactly the kind of vibe I want, but HOW?” Yep. me too. I am always taking screenshots of good designs to keep my inspiration bank full and my creative juices flowing. And this month's collection of inspo was HOT. 🔥🔥🔥Enter the 3-part series featuring some of my favorite eye-catching design trends that are not only fun to look at—but super easy to recreate in Canva. 🙌 These are the kinds of designs you scroll past and think “Ughhh, that’s SO good. I want mine to look like that.” The best part? You can do that. Let me show you where to start. (Note - these are NOT my graphics - just snapshots of some I've pulled from my growing inspo bank.) 🌫️ Trend #1: OverlaysThis is such an easy technique that can make a HUGE impact on your graphics. Whether your overlay is a poppy brand color, a subtle pattern, or a moody shadow— an overlay can instantly make your design feel next-level.👇 🎨 Trend #2: Cut-Out EffectThink sticker-style cutouts of you, your product, or anything else you want to spotlight. Add a white outline and boom—it pops! This technique creates a layered, interactive look that feels engaging and modern, which is great for website banners, engaging social posts, and Pinterest pins.👇 📝 Trend #3: Handcrafted StylePolaroid frames, washi tape, little doodles... it’s giving digital scrapbook energy, and I'm here for it! Cozy, creative, and so on-trend - all while helping you create an authentic connection with your audience. 👇 If your brand can ride this vibe, head to the photo/element library and give these search terms a whirl: 🧾 Trend #4: Realistic ElementsGone are the days of flat, overused design elements! Adding realistic elements can help bring your brand to life and make your designs more relatable. I am downright OBSESSED with this look, and have been using realistic elements in my own graphics often! Think real-life objects, reimagined for the digital world. 👇 ❤️🔥HOT TIP: Looking for a specific realistic element but can't find it in the Canva photo/element library? Try Canva's Magic Media app! Example Prompt: “Ultra-realistic 3d rendering of a tall clear glass of matcha bubble tea with one pink straw. front on shot, even lighting” That’s your design inspo dose for the week, Reader!I’ll be back in your inbox soon with even more of my favorite eye-catching design trends (Including a trending font combo trick you’ve gotta try 👀).
